Yep, I'm still here...shocker...

So here it is, April already...and I'm still in Halifax. 3 months ago, I left Florida for what I hoped was a week or two visit to Halifax. And I'm still here, no hope in sight of ever leaving. I feel so sad for my husband because he hasn't found a job yet. I'm sad for us because yet another month went by and we're still living apart.

The weather's starting to look better (well, sunnier...not so much warmer) and I don't have any spring/summer clothes here...they're all in Florida. Along with all my beloved sandals and flip flops. Yet, right now in Florida is the perfect time, not too hot yet, but warm enough to head to the pool. And I'm missing it. Booo.

On a fun side note, I ended up taking a very last-minute overnight trip this past weekend to Moncton to celebrate my friend Carolyn's birthday with her. Rented a car and drove up on Saturday and spent the evening in the company of some amazing friends and some even MORE amazing martinis! ;)



We started the night out at Marianne's house (the one grabbing her boobs above!) and had various martinis (the flirtini, pink panther martini and tiffany blue martini) then we headed to downtown Moncton to party it up more!



I found a new delish martini there...the purple haze martini! It was truly yummy, especially the booze soaked blueberries in the bottom!

Must make a trip back to Moncton for those bad boys some day!
